Hellenic Chronicle is first published.

Published by Peter Agris, it subsequently moves to offices on Newbury Street. Agris is soon joined as publisher of what becomes the largest weekly Greek newspaper in the U.S. by his wife, Antigone, who continues to serve as publisher until 2000.
